Overview
1. Possession is expressed with de.
e.g. la casa de Mariela = Mariela’s house
2. Possessive adjectives go before the noun.

nosotros | nuestro(a,s) |
vosotros | vuestro(a,s) |
ustedes, ellos, ellas | su(s) |
e.g. Mi casa es tu casa. = My house is your house.
3. Possessive pronouns take articles unless they follow ser.
yo | el/la/los/las mío(a,s) |
tú | el/la/los/las tuyo(a,s) |
usted, él, ella | el/la/los/las suyo(a,s) |
nosotros | el/la/los/las nuestro(a,s) |
vosotros | el/la/los/las vuestro(a,s) |
ustedes, ellos, ellas | el/la/los/las suyo(a,s) |
e.g. Mi casa es blanca. –> La mía es blanca. = Mine is white.
e.g. La casa es mía. = The house is mine.
