Sentence Formation

1. John likes shoes. –> Shoes are pleasing to John.
–> zapatos gustan a John –> Los zapatos gustan a John
–> Los zapatos le gustan a John.

2. Tim and Tom do not like to swim/swimming.
–> To swim/swimming is not pleasing to Tim and Tom.
nadar no gusta a Tim y Tom. –> Nadar no les gusta a Tim y Tom.

Dropping words

1. Redundant pieces

e.g. (A mí) me gustan los chocolates.

2. Pieces understood through context.

e.g. (El libro) le gusta (a Juan).

Word Order

1. Word blocks must stay intact but can be shifted.
